Body-inclusive yoga, ritual, and sound experiences for women who are tired of holding it all together.
I help women reconnect with their bodies through beginner-friendly yoga, full moon tea rituals, and immersive sound-centered experiences in Coralville and North Liberty, Iowa.
Hi friend, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Amanda, the founder of Madam Curiosa, a plus-size yoga teacher and ritual host who found my way back to my body through yoga at nearly 500 pounds.
What changed my life was not becoming smaller. It was becoming curious. Yoga gave me a way back to myself, and losing nearly 200 pounds turned out to be the side effect of something much bigger: learning how to listen.
Madam Curiosa exists so other women get that same permission.
Who We AreMadam Curiosa classes are wellness experiences built around the idea that your body already knows what it needs. You just haven't been given permission to listen.

During our time together we'll talk about the astrology. We'll build intentions around releasing. We'll chat with tea herbs and ask them to be co-creators in our next chapter. And finally, we'll settle into a rhythmic sound journey using crystal bowls, chimes, and drums, leaving us feeling grounded, open, and free.
